The official afa slow pitch rule book is the guideline by which we play the afa game.  It was compiled by a committee that combined are some of the best softball minds in the US.  They kept the Players in mind when writing these rules. Liberal Homerun Rules makes afa a different game, much more appealing for today’s slow pitch players. This book will be able to be downloaded soon.

                                                         Oh What a Difference !!
Yes that is the only words that can describe the new game in town. AFA Directors from all over the southwest got together and came up with these new rules.

1. Pitch Arc is 5 ft to 12 ft from the ground
2. Pitchers may stand anywhere with in the width of the pitching rubber and as far back as 6 ft.
3. Pitchers must deliver the ball in a forward motion with in 5 seconds from the time the ball is presented. Any windup is acceptable.
4. Stealing will be incorporated when the ball hits the ground or crosses the plate.
5. Any player can become a courtesy runner and run for another player but must score or be back to the dugout for his turn at bat or he is out. He may run once per inning.
6. Ball count will be 3 Balls 3 Strikes.
7. The Home Run Rule:
E Division - NO HOME RUNS over the limit is IEO or also known as inning ending out.
D Division - 3 Home Runs then 1 UP, over 1 up is an out  C Division - 5 Home Runs then 1 Up, over 1 up is an out
