Welcome to the Home of AFA Nevada
2008 will bring to the west what we think will be the greatest thing to happen to slow-pitch softball since the composite bat.  AFA that started as a girls fast-pitch association in 1980 has decided to expand out into the adult slow-pitch game.  Joey Markakis has agreed to head up the crew in Nevada. Joey who was affiliated with ISA for many years says I think this will be the opportunity we need to revitalize slow-pitch. We are continuing the game where everyone else seems to be letting go. Over the past years other associations have thought less and less about the player and more and more about building a big business.  AFA Nevada is committed to keep the player in mind when it comes to rules, prizes and the overall good of the game. We will be offering an expanded schedule this year and with rules like the courtesy runner, pitching path, and the most liberal home-run rules in the game we think you will be ready to come play. The new rule books will be out in early January and will be available at all tournaments. Until then take a look to the right at some of the immediate differences form other associations rules.

                     Oh What a Difference !!
Yes that is the only words that can describe the new game in town.  AFA Directors from all over the south west got together and came up with these new rules.

2. Pitchers may stand anywhere with in the width of the pitching rubber and as far back as 6ft.
3. Pitchers must deliver the ball in a forward motion with in 5 seconds from the time the ball is presented.
4. Stealing will be incorporated when the ball hits the ground or crosses the plate.
5.Any player can become a courtesy runner and run for another player but must score or be back to the dugout for his turn at bat or he is out. He may run once per inning.
6. Ball count will be 4 Balls 3 Strikes.
7. The Home Run Rule:
